Am I too old for the internet? Is there anyone out there who just wants to chat? Every chat room I've entered is full of people who just want a booty . Is it so wrong to want to get to know someone before jumping into the sack with them? Or is that I'm just too old fashioned for these modern times????

I'd say your biggest challenge is that you're married. You'll get other sexual opportunists and cheaters responding to you, which I guess is a booty isn't it? If you are actually Poly, you might check there.

Chat rooms are not the best places, perhaps and if you come in yelling (in all-caps) that you are married with 5 , it may not help your case. If you "just want to chat," but also say that "jumping into the sack" is the ultimate goal, most folks might think that, since you're married, a booty is what you want - since as a married gal, you can't offer much more. Bean makes a good point - figure out your marriage and sexuality first - and do make sure to keep your in perspective. Counseling or a support group might help.That might be a better priority. This is a discussion forum, and places like this can be a good support too - but bear in mind that we get a lot of married women in here, and not many of them want anything BUT booty. So color us cautious. It isn't a matter of age, by the way. It's a matter of where you go, and what you bring.

Sorry for yelling!! OK. First of all, I use all caps because it is easier for me to see , but I can see how that could be misunderstood as yelling so I will correct that. Also, my husband and know of my sexuality and are very supportive. My husband and I are married in name only at this time. I guess I should wait to explain my situation at a more appropriate time. I looked at my last entry and can see how it sounded like I wanted a booty , but that is not what I meant. I just want someone to talk to who has been or is going through the same experience I'm going through now. I just meant that in this day and age, it seems like that is all people want is to hook up for sex. No one whats to get to know anyone on a personal level anymore. I still have a ways to go before I consider doing anything like that. I would not have any physical relations with anyone while I was still legally married. As for counseling, there are no free counseling services available around here and money is tight right now. Thank everyone for your tips and ideas, they are very helpful. :)

not too old I am probably close to your age and married and I met a few really fantastic women on CL boards, CL personals, and other dating sites. All you need to do is put a heading like "friends first". Don't use caps. But in the older age group I find that people who want a booty are more of an exception, unless you are in an NSA (no strings attached)section. However if you are looking for a relationship rather than just sex, you are going to have hard time if you still live with your husband. At least get your own place first, especially if you are grown as you say—that should make it easier. I am poly and don't really expect to find a LTR with one person, as you probably are. I am perfectly fine with *just sex* as long as it is with someone fascinating. If I were looking for LTR it would be pretty darn impossible to get that while married. Unless you find another married woman in your exact situation, which is possible, if you live in a large enough market. I met at least 3 married women interested in LTR with another married woman, but none of them were open enough with their husbands.
