I couldn't say without seeing the movie. but i saw a clip on tv and I think she plays an urban social worker? seems like a good role for mariah.

There is no fucking way in hell I'd see that First strike: recommended by oprah. made that mistake with a book once. wont' go that route with movie night. Second strike: if I wanted to see that shit I could drive a couple of blocks and watch from my car. Third strike: I know I'm not getting laid after making my date sit through that.
